Home for the Holidays

As the Holiday season starts and we start decorating I always think of “gifts” for our home to spruce it up or make it more functional. I also love that it makes entertaining more fun! Here are a few things to add to your “Home for the Holidays” list:

1. Heos speakers: Nick bought these years ago and we have slowly added more speakers, even outside. Love that it’s all wireless and can be controlled with your phone.

2. Outside Globe Lights: Need to spruce up your outside? These globe lights have added so much to our home. I kinda feel like it’s Christmas all year.

3. Marble Platter: I love me a platter and this one looks the perfect neutral to go with any occasion. I love that it adds height to the table!

4. Nest: We’ve had this for years and have loved being able to control the temperature from our phones. It makes recommendations and suggestions as to your usage and I love that we can cool the house down on our way home from vacation! Check with your local energy company too, they usually give a rebate for installing one of these.

5. Plaid garland: Loving all the plaid this year. This would be perfect for a wreath or to spruce up some garland.

6. Google home: My kids have been loving having this around. We can easily play music and they love to ask it questions like, “how far away is the moon”. I know it does a lot of other things that we still need to learn!

7. Copper mugs: I love all the copper everything that has been coming out lately! Especially love the hammered copper and how this spruces up the table.

8. Nest cam: We have actually been using this as a baby monitor. I love that you can scroll back and see what West has been doing. We also have on at our front door that will alert us if someone is there. If you really want to be high tech (my husband love stuff like this) add a Samsung Smart Things Hub. These allow you to also control other things with your phone, even lights! All our outside lights are connected to this and makes it easy to turn on and off!

9. Wood platter. Target has wood platters in so many shapes and sizes and I love how they make everything look fancier!

10. Sequin pillow: This looks fun to spruce up the house during the holidays. I love that the pattern changes depending on how you move the sequins.

11. Letterboard: I love that these old school letter boards have been brought back. I actually bought a Heidi Swapp letter board and love all of her different texts and fonts and fun words you can buy!

12. Thankful banner: I always love the finish off decorating with a banner and love that Target always has inexpensive ones in the dollar aisle. This aisle is trouble for me!!
