Easter Baskets

Trying to get ready for Easter finally, it snuck up on me! I’m really trying to make it a little more Christ Centered this year and found some really fun object lessons on Pinterest I’m going to try and do with the kids, especially since it’s General Conference (a big meeting where all the leaders talk to us, find out more here: lds.org) for our church. I always tend to want to buy a lot of cute easter candy but this year I’m trying to fill the basket with other things. Here are a few things I’m going to put in but would love all your ideas!

  1. My First Story of Easter. Like I said I’m trying to remind the kids of the true meaning of Easter and thought this would be a perfect start.
  2. Silly Putty Eggs. What isn’t to love about these. These have always been my favorite.
  3. Easter Word Search. My 5 year old is starting to get into these and I thought he might love to have one for Conference weekend.
  4. Happy Easter Mouse. These books are always a favorite for us. And clearly I’m going book heavy this year but I’m a sucker for books because I know we will have them for years.
  5. Easter Mad Libs. I haven’t seen one of these in years but thought this might be fun for my almost 8 year old his working on his reading and spelling.
  6. Easter Playdough.  We can’t ever seem to have enough play dough in our house and I love that these are in actual eggs!
  7. Jesus Prints.  I am always on the search to find more modern Christ pictures to display in our house and I fell in love with these, this might actually have to be in my Easter basket!
  8. God Gave Us Easter. This was another great one to help us remember the reason for the season.
  9. Truck Crayons.  I’m a sucker for anything to draw with and thought this was super cute.
  10. Guess How Much I Love You. One of my favorite books ever.

I’m on the search for a few more things to add. Would love to hear all of your ideas!
